Child holding winning artwork

Carnegie Hall proudly presents Creative Youth, the 15th annual juried art show for Greenbrier County students in grades 4-12. This exhibit will be on display Saturday, March 1 through Sunday, April 20, 2008 in the Old Stone Room at Carnegie Hall in downtown Lewisburg. The artwork submitted represents your school, so please send your students’ BEST work.

Judging
Student artwork will be judged by a panel of three judges selected by Carnegie Hall. The judging will be based on category and grade. The categories are: Mixed Media; Drawing; Painting; and Photography. Grades 4-5, 6-8, and 9-12 will be judged separately.

Requirements
Artwork should measure 5”x7”, 9”x12”, 12”x18” or 18”x24”. (Odd-sized pieces must be pre-matted.) After judging, the artwork will be temporarily matted and shrinkwrapped for the exhibit. Artwork should be titled and may be priced for sale or labeled NFS (not for sale). Please do not send work with student’s name visible. The price set by the student on the entry form will be non-negotiable and 100% of the sale price (less 6% state sales tax) will go to the student at the end of the show. Student permission must be given to submit their artwork for this exhibit.
