Carnegie Hall is pleased to present the 18th Annual Season of Colors Juried Art Exhibition. This year’s theme is “Community.” Entries will reflect fresh and liberating interpretations of the artists' vision of community.

Specifications for Works
- Two-dimensional works in categories of oil painting, drawing, watercolor, photography, mixed media and other painting mediums (including acrylics, charcoal and pastels) that reflect the theme "Community" will be accepted.
- All works must be original and created within the last two years. Images or very slight variations of images previously exhibited at Carnegie Hall will not be accepted. Work copied from another artist’s painting, photograph, published image or work created under the tutelage of an instructor is not eligible.
- Entries must be framed (unless painting does not require framing) with screw eyes and wire hangers. Carnegie Hall’s picture hanging system cannot accommodate saw-tooth hangers.
- Judges reserve the right to disqualify any work not properly presented.
- Maximum size for judging is 40” x 48”
- Any work over 32” x 36” must contain Plexiglas and not glass.
- Accepted works must remain on exhibit until the end of the show.
Eligibility and Fees
- Artists 18 years and older may submit up to three (3) works.
- Entry fee is $25 for up to three (3) works.
- Cash, check, VISA® or MasterCard® accepted. Make checks payable to Carnegie Hall, Inc.
Judging Criteria
Works selected will reflect the theme “Community”. Submitted works should reflect fresh and liberating interpretations of the artists' vision of community. Works will be judged on the basis of originality, technical quality and thematic depth.
Entry Specifications
Up to three images may be submitted. Artists selected for inclusion in the exhibit will be represented by no more than two works.
Slide Entries
Must be 2" x 2" mount submitted in slide sheet. No oversize or glass slides accepted. No tape on outside of slide. Label your slides, as shown, with a red dot in the top, right hand corner:

Digital Entries
One high quality, high resolution JPEG image of each entry must be on PC formatted CD-R. Each JPEG must be identified by artwork title. CD-R must be clearly labeled with artist name and title of artworks, medium and dimensions.
Accepted Works
Accepted works must be shipped in sturdy, reusable crates or cartons. Please do not use Styrofoam peanuts or pellets. Return postage must be guaranteed. Artist name, address and phone number, along with title of work, medium and price must be attached to back of work.
Sales and Awards
Works should be priced for sale or labeled NFS (not for sale). Carnegie Hall will process all sales of artwork and retain a 25% handling fee for each transaction. Carnegie Hall will collect 6% WV sales tax.

The 2008 Season of Colors Art Exhibition is presented with financial assistance from the West Virginia Division of Culture and History and the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the West Virginia Commission on the Arts.
