The Rust Kings are an Appalachian Stompgrass group from the Greenbrier Valley. They spread their version of West Virginia mountain style music to audiences all over the United States. Most recently they were a feature artist at the 2007 Americana Music Association Conference in Nashville, TN. Their most recent album “Hotel West Virginia” on Dren Records in Philadelphia, PA peaked at #9 on the Rural Roots Report Bluegrass chart, which tracks radio plays and album sales worldwide for independent and major label artists. The album spent a total of 13 weeks in the top 40. Incorporating mountain, string band, rockabilly and traditional country, Rust Kings have created a unique sound that goes beyond bluegrass.
